A DEATH CINEMATIC are a perfect example of why I enjoy CVLT Nation. This 1 man band creates mind-shifting music with only a guitar, limited amounts of effects & loads of killer imagination. His release Your Fate Twisting, Epic In Its Crushing Moments, out now via Simple Box Construction, is a bag filled with a bunch of sonic art supplies that paints different portraits every second it is played. I love music that speaks to my soul, hidden emotions & thoughts that I have not heard from in a while. I know for a fact A DEATH CINEMATIC is super stellar because he is able converse with me only using instrumental music, & I understand where he is coming from even though I have never heard him speak a word. In all fairness, he does say so much with so little, & for that I’m impressed. Musically, A DEATH CINEMATIC should not be labeled, so I will not start now, but I will say that listening to this music reminds me of being out at sea with only the dolphins to talk to. The title track “Your Fate Twisting, Epic In Its Crushing Moments” is indeed an epic 22 minute stellar journey, where the surreal strums on the guitar will be your tour guide into another world. Everything about this song is warm, & it feels like the happiest day of my life at certain moments, plus it makes me realize that i can be bigger than the doubts that try to take over my brain. A DEATH CINEMATIC is dramatic & unnerving. Without loud instruments, screaming voices & pounding drums, it’s heavy as fuck once you allow it to seep into your thoughts. The label that released this album, Simple Box Construction, is all about the D.I.Y. art factor: everything is done by hand.
