Hi, what are you looking for?

Black Metal

YOU ARE THE ENDLING – DISPIRIT

The chasm is calling for your sacrifice, do not consider yourself freed, and as you begrudgingly trudge to your sacred ending rock, Dispirit will be the hammer that smashes through your head.   Dispirit is the new band from John Gossard, the warlord axe-grinder of Asunder and Weakling and his new group will tear your flesh from bone and fire it into the heart of  a star. After the jump dive into the darkness!!!

These bastards of disaster exist within the morass of a vile sludge-swamp but drift far below the surface into a psychedelic tangle of rotted flesh and doomantia. The layers of guitar grind the riffs with a pummel that drives like an awl into the bone and then couple it with moans rife with strife. The sound is a swirl of violence and menace that douse light and leave you stranded.

DISPIRIT – Bitumen Amnii

I think most people will erroneously assume that because this is the very same John Gossard, that this band will have something to do with pure black metal, devoid of complexity and strictly rudimentary,  but that is so wrong it could possibly get you slapped. Dispirit utilize untold layers of filth to take you to the depths of this pitiful world, and it’s only two people. I could go on equivocating these vulgarians and their music to violent images and dreadful locations you wouldn’t wish on ex-lovers  but that’s exciting and interesting, so fuck that.
