The Arrival Of Apokalyptic Armageddon…
WINDS OF GENOCIDE
Review

I smell war blowing in the wind tonight, I smell the fear of the capitalistic pigs as their last days draw near. Take a look around you, and you can see the masses are getting sick of this fucked up system of oppression that we are all living under. If you need to hear music that brings it all home for you, put on the Winds Of Genocide 2010 EP, The Arrival Of Apokalyptic Armageddon – every moment of this record is a fucking call to arms! 6 songs of unrelenting, crushing d-beat in the hands of crust, packing the fury of death and black metal. This EP just drips of righteous blackened rage, and it gets my blood boiling. Winds Of Genocide are able to articulate the ills of our society in a very matter-of-fact way, and their music is pure brainfood. Lyrically, this band hits the mark with every word, and the vocal delivery is ultra gnarly in all the chaotic ways needed to decapitate the heads of state! The caustic grooves on The Arrival Of Apokalyptic Armageddon have enough rotting melody to make your head spin. Winds Of Genocide are not fucking around at all with this record, the riffs they lay down are hard as body armor and able to withstand all of the bullshit the the system throws their way! This band is passionate about what they are creating, and it makes for an intense listening experience. Also, what makes this EP so epic is the way that the band uses primal emotions to paint sonic pictures of the torment that is swirling around in the atmosphere. When “A Nightmare Vision” starts blazing through your speakers, then you will get how rad this bad is. I like my d-beat raw with an unhealthy dose of metallic crust, and Winds Of Genocide serves it just the way I want to hear it. This band will split your skull with beyond-sinister riffage, but you know what they say, no pain no gain!
