A Taste of Chelsea Wolfe’s First Band, Red Host

We are big big fans of Ms. Wolfe around here, so it’s hard for us to just sit and wait around for the new album. So we are going to turn back the clock and give you a taste of her first band, Red Host. This is a few degrees more metal than the grunged-out sound Chelsea went for on Ἀποκάλυψις, which is slightly more metal than her first solo album Mistake In Parting. If you listen close enough, you can hear on the song “Hole in the Head” where elements of these riffs later resurfaced on “Mer.”

Not the best quality, but her vocal style here is pretty much in line with what she does today, or heading in that direction.
