Damn I feel high…but still, pass me my bong so I can inhale some more CYPRESS HILL. In 1991, when I first heard their self-titled album, me and my whole crew were hooked. CYPRESS HILL came on the scene with their own dusted-out sound with sonic THC fumes jumping off of every track. Actually, they were one of the West Coast groups that helped unify both coasts. The imagery that they used captivated the hip hop community of this era. No doubt, CYPRESS HILL spoke the language of the street but they also spoke to the stoner in us all. Today CVLT Nation honors the OG greenthumb warriors with a huge video essay featuring visuals from the early daze of CYPRESS HILL…Stoned is the way of the walk!
