Gat Rot Interviews Territory

You guys just got back from playing with Earth Crisis in Tijuana. Tell us how awesome that tour was!

Playing with Earth Crisis was awesome, one of our favorite bands. Shows were a bit lackluster, but it was still great to play with and see ExC for a few nights

Your last album Sic Semper Tyrannis was amazing. What do you guys have planned next, as far as recordings go?

Thanks! Eventually we will release an EP and tour in the spring and summer.

We know you guys have been involved with the hardcore scene for a long time. Tell us about some of the bands that influence you to want to be in a band?

I think a lot of the bands we take musical influence from inspire us with their longevity and continued passion regardless of money or notoriety, bands like Kickback, Converge, All Out War, Ringworm, etc.

When it comes to song writing, how do you guys approach it?

It’s mostly collaborative, a lot of it is us yelling at our guitar player to write riffs because he’s really lazy. We have long periods of failure and then we write a song one practice in 30 minutes haha.

After Southwest Terror Fest, what are your plans?

Play a few shows, write some songs. Three of us are finishing up school so no big plans until after the new year.
