01. Discharge – State Violence State Control
From: Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing
RL: I don’t think any one would deny that Discharge is one of the most important punk bands that ever existed.

02. Rollins Band – If You’re Alive
From: Life Time
RL: I must confess, I am not much of a fan of Rollins music post-Black Flag. But this song off this album is fucking killer!

03. Year Future – The Hidden Hand
From: The Hidden Hand
RL: Fairly unknown, short-lived post-The VSS band for Sonny Kay. This EP in particular is the best thing they ever did.

04. Die Kreuzen – Get ‘em
From: S/T
RL: Great punk riffs, great songs, awesome vocals. Perfect album.

05. White Shit – Time Is the Boss
From: Sculpted Beef
RL: Excellent side project of Big Biz guys with the guitarist from the Wrangler brutes!

06. Melvins – As It Was
From: Gluey Porch Treatments
RL: What is a mix without a little Melvins?

07. Systral – Damage & Betrayal
From: Black Smoker
RL: Awesome obscure German death-n-roll-core turned to 11.
Love the roar the vocalist got on this record.

08. Death – Altering the Future
From: Spiritual Healing
RL: Death is the first Death Metal band I got into. I think all of their records had something interesting to offer. RIP Chuck!

09. Aura Noir – The Spiral Scar
From: Deep Tracts of Hell
RL: I’ve been a fan of these guys since the early records. “Deep Tracts…” is one of the their lesser known but amazingly ugly black thrash records from the late 90’s..

10. Hellammer – Buried And Forgotten
From: Satanic Rites
RL: Satanic Rites forever!!! Slithering bending caveman riffs from hell, dambuster vocal delay and some good old hellish crossfire on wooden coffins!

11. Isengard – Over de Syngende Øde Moer
From: Høstmørke
RL: The best of all the Isengard songs that Fenriz created. His vocals on this song are perfect.

12. Neurosis – Lost
From: Enemy of the Sun
RL: One of the most moving and intense Neurosis songs to listen to. And it is even better in a live setting.

13. Dawn – The Knell And The World
From: Slaughtersun
RL: Fairly unknown Swedish band that created a masterpiece with “Slaughtersun”. Not sure what the hell ever happened to them???

14. Darkthrone – Kathaarian Life Code
From: A Blaze In The Northern Sky
RL: “A Blaze…” is my #1 Darkthrone album. [Followed by “…Funeral Moon” at #2] The first time I heard this song I was blown away completely.

15. Bathory – The Golden Walls Of Heaven
From: Blood Fire Death
RL: Long Live Quorthon. “Blood Fire Death” is quintessential Black Metal.

16. Autopsy – Dead
From: Mental Funeral
RL: The kings!

17. Trouble – Wickedness of Man
From: The Skull
RL: Trouble is one of those bands I will always love. Lots of great songs on the early Trouble albums, especially “The Skull”

18. Black Sabbath – Megalomania
From: Sabotage
RL: Yes everyone loves Black Sabbath but a song like Megalomania is just incredible! Unearthly Trance tried to pull off a cover of this in our earlier days. We didn’t get too far. Haha
