Sonic Cathedrals Vol. XXIV
Curated by TOMBS

CVLT Nation is way beyond excited to announce that the Sonic Cathedrals Mixtape Series Vol. XXIV Curated by TOMBS is going live today. I’m going to keep this short: this is an awesome, two hour journey into a world of sonic art! Now read what TOMBS has to say about their mixtape below, download Sonic Cathedrals Vol. XXIV after the jump, & blast this audio painting beyond loud…RIDE ON THE CROW’S WINGS & LAND ON THE MOON!

We as humans are connected to the changing seasons, yet in our modern society, it is easy to disconnect from the cyclical changes that we experience as the year progresses. Many of us live our lives under flourescent lights, indoors, with measured doses of sunlight. I embrace the changes, especially the mighty season of Autumn, which connects Summer to Winter. The days get shorter and the air grows cold; the warm days of summer become a memory.

The playlist that I’ve assembled is a soundtrack that I’ve been enjoying this season. Some are time-tested oldies, such as “Heroes/Helden”, “Empathy”, “Deep in the Woods”, “Dark Entries”, “When You Sleep”, “Procreation of the Wicked” and “6116”, that I have been going to every Autumn. Some are newer entris like the track “Frost” by Salem and “Shut Me Down” by Rowland S. Howard off of his final record “Pop Crimes.” The rest of the two hour transmission are just songs that I’ve been playing during this season that nurture the Autumn Vibe.

Perhaps a bit more mainstreamy & not as “kvlt” as other previous mixtapes – not that I don’t like the pix 😉

This Mixtape is excellent, and much different from the others, all these quality dark tracks on it, and not dominated by heavier bands…
