Ride With Death…
SPEEDWOLF
Review

Who fucking let the hounds out of hell?? On November 22nd, metal will never be same, because SPEEDWOLF is going to bite it’s face off! These road warriors from the barren wasteland of decaying riffs & whiskey breath are going to totally destroy shit with the release of their debut album Ride With Death via Hells Headbangers. Why front, these dudes are on some heavy Motorhead worship, but trust me they flip the script, they are no clones by any means. If you dig ultra-fast blues with the attitude of hardcore, this album will be right up your motherfucking alley. SPEEDWOLF did not just write songs for Ride With Death, they created 12 ruckus anthems that will get any fucking party started for sure. I’m just saying that these guys’ tunes grab you by your throat & will not let you go. When the song is over, you feel soaked in the booze that spewed out of your speakers! SPEEDWOLF are fucking too legit, plus they are super smart in the way they craft their anthems, because they have these rad epic breakdowns that are actually hooks within hooks. Hot fucking hell, this band is my brand new drug, I’m so hooked! It’s strange, but when I listen to them they just put me in a real good mood. SPEEDWOLF is four beasts from the underworld that really enjoy creating gnarly music together – when you listen to their album you hear it. The vocalist has the skills to pay the bills; he has been possessed by the demons of ultra fury and they can be heard with every word that comes out of his throat. While this album is playing, there is no way you will be able to escape the apocalyptic riffs & the nuclear basslines so don’t bother running for shelter. SPEEDWOLF’s drumming is the kind of double bass damaged beats that got me hooked on metal in 1983. When you hear their song “Death Ripper,” the acid rain melodies will leave you drenched in a pool of metal punk stench. Every tune on Ride With Death will slap you in the back of your head with a death blow of caustic groove & metallic melody. I don’t know these humans from adam, but I just want to thank them for making a super rad album. You know, what I dig the most about SPEEDWOLF is that they have created a record will unify scenes. Metal heads & Punks in unity!
