Doom

Lords Misrule…Rest In Doom
A RAMESSES Retrospective!

One of the coolest things about existing on this planet is finding your universal tribe of people. When I lived in London in the early 2000’s, I got the chance to meet Adam & Cris Richardson while we all worked together. These two people are some of the kindest stoners I have ever met and love metal just as much as they love each other! We would spend many of our spliff breaks talking about heavy music. I would tell Adam about SoCal 80’s punk and he would school me in doom like Iron Monkey, Cathedral and so on. He went on to start RAMESSES with his homies Tim Bagshaw and Mark Greening in 2003. To me, this band is one of Britain’s most important heavy bands to ever fucking do it, because of all the different levels of torment they bring to doom. Just a little over a week ago RAMESSES decided to call it quits for right now. I want to salute them for not only being an unreal band that leaves many kick ass records to blast, but also for being cool motherfucking humans! Doom does not die, it just gets heavier, so check out the sick RAMESSES video essay after the jump!…Be on the look out for more radical releases from Ritual Productions
