Poison Minds…PARASYTIC Review

The riot will not be televised, because the riot will be played by Parasytic! Their album, Poison Minds, via Relapse records is a call to arms for all the blackened thrash & crust infested hordes worldwide. From the word go, this band starts killing shit…if you don’t believe me, listen to songs like “Ire of War” or “Aspects of Man”. Parasytic has the perfect balance of speed, filth, & angst. On the vocal tip, the singer has written some gnarly lyrics & drives the point home with his nasty passionate delivery. The drumming at times sounds like an African drumming circle gone crusty! There seems to be a call & response happening between the drummer & the other members of his band. The guitarist rips through every song – imagine 100 chainsaws were on at the same time, that only begins to to tell you how killer the guitar playing is. Parasytic have created an album that lets you know the struggle continues.
