Positive punk was a scene that was born in 1982 in the UK & spread across the world. It was “goth” before media came up with the term. Positive punk was more than just music or fashion, it was a community of misfits worldwide. Some of my favorite bands came from this era: Southern Death Cult, Alien Sex Fiend, Sex Gang Children, Blood & Roses, Vex, Trial, Bone Orchard & The Mob just to name a few. I guess you could say it was an extension of the peace punk scene of the day. In 1983, there was an epic documentary that was made about this often forgotten & overlooked moment in musical history. After the jump, travel back in time & the see Positive Punk era with your own eyes.
