Neurotic Angst…
Curbbite/GOLDUST Split 7″
Review

Crush, Kill, Destroy, Crush, Kill, Rebuild…it’s time to rise. I feel all ultra tough right now, maybe it’s all of the aggro energy blasting through my speakers..I mean, I’m listening to GOLDUST & CURBBITE gnarly 7 inch out now via Walking Dead/Hardware Records. Both of these German bands totally dismantle sound & give speed it’s own dimension of evil. Something must be in the beer in Germany, because so many killer bands are coming out of this country right now. GOLDUST gets the party started with two blackened hardcore tracks that sound like they are playing a gig in the lowest level of hell with all of the demons stage diving into the pit of destruction. I wonder if their vocalist’s throat bleeds, because this dude rips his voice box a new one with his super epic delivery. Musically, GOLDUST is an all-out game of mayhem – both of their songs punish you each time you play them. They have really good song writing skills, they will have your neck snappin to the sound of their blackened death beat! Now it’s time for CURBBITE to bring the noise, and they approach things just a little bit differently. This band builds a thick wall of anger around their songs, and transform them into speed demons. They also have the power violence jackhammer vibe to their tunes that will beat you all around your skull. CURBBITE are not dummies, they know the power of melody & under all of the fury they have you can hear it. So if you want some extra damaged sounds in your life, get this gnarly 7 inch!
