Lichtlærm/Minus Mensch…ALPINIST Review

I dislike fairytale weddings & I don’t listen when the government tells me what bad guys to hate. What I do like are bands that speak out against this corrupt system in which we exist. ALPINIST, from Munster, Germany, punches the dogs of war straight in the face. On May 24th, they re-release two of their albums, Lichtlærm & Minus Mensch, as one limited edition CD on Southern Lord Records. This CD will be packed with 18 songs, and crust rage that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. What makes ALPINIST super killer is that these dudes are not afraid of taking chances on a musical tip. Their songs have a fury that runs through them, and tells you the struggle is not over, it’s just begun. The guitarist plays with speed & conviction. The beats on this disc will keep your heart pounding. When I hear the ALPINIST vocals, I imagine the veins popping out of the singer’s neck as he shouts down Babylon. They also have these epic waves of emotion that only add to the radness of their music. I would much rather listen to them than watch the Idiot Box full of lies and capitalistic propaganda. After the jump, check out super rad live footage & some flicks.

Well, if you dig them wait til you get the hands on the new Planks CD out n Southern Lord in June. They are by far the best German band right now. If you dig Alpinist Planks might be just up your alley!
