LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE! Unholy hell, what do we have here? An ultra sick album, or the soundtrack to the Apocalypse? I know what it is, it’s the new HOT GRAVES album, Knights In White Phosphorus, out now via NHR Records. These Florida metal/punk wizards transform each track into their own world of demonic speed bliss. HOT GRAVES’ songs will get you so hyped, you would be down to give the Pope an uppercut to the gut, or better yet, unplug all of those Televangelvision hypocrites. This band’s music is just flat out fucking awesome because of the unseen hand of rage and fury that pushes every composition to the edge of sanity! HOT GRAVES are really a perfect combination of thrash metal and punk – they have the sound that many of the crossover bands from the mid 80’s could never achieve. Bloody rivers of Dis-Beat flow into metallic oceans, where the slayers of the underworld sail to set their warlords free. You will find riffs on Knights In White Phosphorus that will make say, DAMN these motherfuckers are the shit! Then once you hear the sound of their murder drums kicking in your skull, you will know you better not fuck with these dudes, because they have come for world damnation. Lyrically, they are on point for the whole album, but it’s the nuclear vocal delivery that will keep you excited from the beginning to the end. So here is a test: play their song “Dirthrash” at full blast, and see if your house won’t start shaking in metal glory. What I dig about HOT GRAVES is that they know who their fans are and what they want, so that’s what the fuck they give, non-stop. This is not music to sip wine to, songs like “Blood Eruption” or “Total War” are meant for whiskey-swigging, beer-drinking, pot-smoking dirt bags to kick back to. This band has an ultra strong sound and identity that will not change with the wind; HOT GRAVES are alive, dancing with the devil, so wake up fuckers and listen to Knights In White Phosphorus NOW!
