IT’S KILLING TIME AGAIN…
KILLING JOKE

What is a classic album? Killing Joke’s Killing Joke is a fucking classic album. Everything about this record is on point – it’s over 30 years old & still sounds like it’s music for the future. This record captured the true spirit of punk better than most bands with spiked hair & studded jackets. Jaz, to me, was an urban shaman of his time; his vocal delivery was beyond soulful and I believe he represents the forgotten beings of humanity that want to scream & shout. Each word he wrote had the meaning of a million. The guitar was Sabbath riffs played by a drugged-up voodoo witch doctor. Killing Joke‘s drumming patterns were machine-like with their precision & as powerful as silence. Plus bass on top of more bass all in your fucking face. This album has that transcendent sense that unified metal heads, hardcore punk kids & goths in their love of Killing Joke. If you have never heard this record, stop what you are doing now & listen! After the fall check out some flicks & videos.

The Joke!! This is one of my favorite records, I am very fortunate to own a 1st pressing vinyl copy.. What’s cool is that they’re still fucking amazing live, any time I go to see Killing Joke I see a sea of smiles ear to ear… If you can get to Vegas for Punk Rock Bowling in late May they will be appearing there.. well worth the trip IMO!
