If a Tree Falls:
A Story of the…
Earth Liberation Front
Documentary Now Showing!

If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front, the documentary directed by Marshall Curry, is very powerful on so many different levels. The subject matter had me thinking from the very first second of this film. Seeing a clearcut forest, even on my screen, almost brought me to tears and it made my blood boil. If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front is just as much as a coming of age story as it is a movie about police brutality, corporate greed, media manipulation and broken friendships. The never seen before archival footage, mixed with emotional and honest interviews, makes for a beyond interesting experience. Watching this film will having you questioning yourself about where you stand – are you a part of the problem or a part of the solution? One thing that stuck out to me is that most Americans are living a lie, thinking that we don’t live in a police state. When you see the brutal treatment that the cops dish out in If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front, you will realize this country is not the home of the free but the home of the silent oppressed. It’s pretty fucked up that Mother Nature is being raped, and those that stand up for her rights are branded as the terrorists, when the corporations that are killing her line their pockets with blood money for their acts of terror against the planet! This is a film that the whole world need to see – it might not change the world, but I hope it will get the masses thinking about their place on this planet! This is why I say that the real evil motherfuckers wear suits to work and enslave the poor for their financial gain.
