How long did it take for me to realize that We Are The Damned are fucking beyond electric? Maybe two seconds after pressing play! Last year, they unleashed the beast with the their album Holy Beast on Bastardized Recordings. I’m so fucking impressed with this band, it’s hard to say, because my brain is racing with all of the great things I want to say about them. I will go on record and say that this record was one of the best albums of 2011, and it was slept on. Well, we are hear to change that, now it’s time to recognize this ultra gnarly band We Are The Damned. I could compare them to some bands, but why do that, it would be too easy and not do them justice. This band knows how to write songs that jump into your skull and scramble your braincells into a state of metallic chaos. Actually, We Are The Damned’s tunes will attack your being on many levels; they will hit you in the stomach with a crust punk upper cut, kick you in the balls with metallic steel toes, slap you in the mouth with their rock & roll fingers of death and inject you with murder from their dirty death metal syringe. Unholy fuck, when you blast their song “Throne Of Lies,” you will have nightmares of the Four Horsemen chasing your ass, but you might as well give up, because you will be no match for those charging drums, and those samurai riffs will decapitate you for sure. As a band, We Are The Damned are cursed with addictive baselines that are driven into the darkness by riffs played by Satan himself. “The Glorious Grisly” is another fucking banger – the vocalist in this band spits an insane delivery all over this ballistic track, with drums that sound like war against war. We Are The Damned has the Mayhem factor, meaning that every note that they create is filled the right amount of rancid melodic terror that will put you in a state of spazzness. Damn, these tunes have awesome hooks and breakdowns buried on top of each other. I have a new mission, and that is to let the world know We Are The Damned are nothing to fuck with, and that you better fucking listen, because this band is on some next shit. Straight up – I want to see this band WIN!
