Hellfuck 2011…ANTIMELODIX Review

Ah shit, I hear the crust ripping at your flesh, or maybe it’s just Antimelodix. This Russian blackened crust band is sick as hell. Their new EP, Hellfuck 2011, is pure fucking gun powder that is about to ignite. It’s four songs of galloping stenchcore that reeks of the warrior spirit. Revolution is a universal language – I can’t understand what the singer is saying, but I feel what the singer is saying 600%, plus he has a radical voice that sounds apocalyptic. Antimelodix can play the fuck out of their instruments; on every song it seems like the band is in attack mode. With all of the fury in their tunes, they never lose melody, plus they have these breakdowns that are filled with blackened conviction. On their second song, “City,” they shove a catchy gnarly riff straight down your ear. The drummer in this band is a maniac who has the force to crush dreams with way he hammers at them. Antimelodix’s guitar player strikes fear into the hearts of the downpressors with his riffs. I would like to see this band live so I could bang all of my misery away!
