Ah shit…dixie break out the whiskey! The Slow Southern Steel movie premiere is Saturday, June 4th at 6:50 pm at the Riverdale Cinema #1 in Little Rock, AR. RWAKE vocalist CT & David Lipke directed this documentary. Slow Southern Steel takes a deep look at the roots of metal in the South, & the story is told by the people who have lived it for the past 20 years. It tackles more than more than just the music, but also the social morals that surround this rich musical tradition. What makes this movie extra special is that it’s made & told by an insider, not by an outsider trying to cash in on people’s blood, sweat & beers. Slow Southern Steel features live footage from & interviews with some of the South’s raddest bands: Weedeater, Eyehategod, Hank III, Dark Castle, Parasytic & many more.
