Doomsday Graphics makes some of the sickest crusty art I have found. Based in Berlin, Doomsday is the brainchild of our Serbian brother Nesha, who we have had the pleasure to work with a few times on some amazing graphics. His visions are war-torn and post-apocalyptic, and truly a prediction of the massive devastation of doomsday. His graphics tell layered stories of gruesome destruction and human evil, often with be-studded crusty punks as the main characters, the only ones to survive the massacre. Zombies also populate his scenes; however, instead of portraying them as horrific monsters, he imbues them with sympathy and emotion, so that you feel their sadness at being left behind in such a disgusting state. The theme of being left behind in a nuclear wasteland is prevalent throughout his artwork, and is a definite warning to humanity. He also combines religious and war symbology – scenes of staking, crucifixion, the pope and soldiers marching together – invoking a disturbing sense of recognition of the modern-day crusading America that is infecting the world today. Nesha is a machine, and has done artwork for many bands worldwide, including the Varukers. After the jump, check out some of his graphic collection…
