FUCK YEAH
The Attack Of Our Favorite…
80’s Hardcore Record Cover Art!

At a very early age, the thing that drew me to music – besides the sound of it – was the art that graced the record covers. Parliament Funkadelic were the first to totally blow my mind with the way they created their album covers. In the early 80’s when I got into hardcore I would go to record shops and stare at the art on the records for hours. Honestly, many times me and my homies would judge bands by how rad their covers were. When you look at many of the hardcore covers from the 80’s, you can see the different stories that the bands were expressing through their imagery that still ring true today! It’s so cool that on a DIY budget, many bands were able to manifest iconic images that have been ingrained into the fabric of our lives. Then there were the illustrators from the 80’s that just fucking wrecked shop on album covers, like Mad Marc Rude, Pushead and Shawn Kerri. Today, CVLT Nation would like to celebrate the 80’s hardcore album cover art with an extra huge gallery. I know these are not all of them, so stay tuned for a part two. Now get your attitude adjustment on after the jump and see some visual history!

this is fucking crap. you dont know what the hell your talking about. it looks like you googled “80s hardcore albums” and took a screen shot. you have electric wizard’s new record on here for crying out loud. just because you listened to minor threat in middle school doesn’t mean you know anything about punk, you definitely cant sum up its legacy on a blog.

Have a few of these. Good selection. I really like the Koro EP cover as well if you have seen it. Simple as hell but for some reason really captivating for me.

An excellent walk down memory lane. I remember flipping through the hardcore section of our indie record shop and holding many of these album jackets in my hand.
