Distortion Of Sense…
ELECTRIC FUNERAL Review

Dis-Rad, Dis-Feedback, Dis-Distortion, motherfucking Electric Funeral will shock your ass back to life. These Swedish Dis-Beat wizards are double ultra raw & I just dig the heck out of them. They have taken walls of distortion & built a mammoth sound that is pure dis-energy that has the power to melt your brains cells. Electric Funeral to me are almost like an avant garde noise band the way they conjure up their filthy noise, because they totally deconstruct the feedback that they force feed you. Today I want to examine Grondalen, which is their third demo; it’s white heat mixed with black noise. It’s 8 songs of dis-noise that will devastate your senses & before this demo is done insanity will not be to far off! Electric Funeral is loud, dirty & raw without a doubt, but what makes them so killer is that they still retain this layer of blackened groove to their tunes. Call me crazy, to me this band’s music is super catchy & explosive. Each song on this demo jumps out of the speakers, grabs you around your throat & never lets up. There is nothing over-thought about the music they create, it’s fucking to to the point & in your face. On every song, the guitars turn out distorted riffs of death that will have your head nodding for sure! The vocalist in this band is a modern day blues man, you can hear the pain & anguish in every syllable he spits. I will say it one more time time: these dudes are masters of feedback, which they transform into rad riots of sound. When you listen to “No Masters No Gods,” authority better watch out because the war is on…download the Electric Funeral demo HERE!
