CVLT Nation Exclusive Stream: Love Sex Machine “Black Mountain”

This is one release I wasn’t expecting at all, but here it is, four years after a self-titled debut album: Love Sex Machine is back. To tell you the truth, I kind of forgot the band was still active until I saw the announcement for their new album Asexual Anger out March 4th, but it’s because so many bands are releasing great stuff and it’s hard to keep everyone in mind, especially with a hole of four years between records.

That being said, Asexual Anger is one hell of a way to start 2016, and will probably be one of the best French releases to come out this year. If you want to treat yourself to some quality sludge you need to listen to “Black Mountain” right now, and the whole album as soon as it comes out. If you’re afraid it’s going to be the same slow, heavy and obscure sludge, don’t be – it’s surprisingly groovy and the vocals could fit very well in the black metal realm, while still being incredibly and viciously apocalyptic.

They did everything themselves on this album (recording, mixing, mastering) except for the lovely artwork, a treat from Fortifem. Preorders are up right now so keep an eye on Throatruiner and Lost Pilgrims‘ stores, and you can also listen to the track “Drone Syndrome” on Metalsucks.
