I have a tremendous amount of respect for Napalm Death, not only for all of the music that they created, but also for all of the talented musicians that have been a part of the band. By far one of my favorites has been Justin K. Broadrick – this human has been made a huge impact on underground music since the 80’s. When he started GODFLESH in 1988, he totally flipped the script, and along with G.C. Green they reworked the way heavy music was created. Their debut release, Streetcleaner, pushed the limits with walls of dirge that were transformed into something new. I respect that GODFLESH had the courage to combine hip hop beats with the angst of metal in a subversive way. When I really think about it, this band was punk as fuck in the true sense of the words because they conjured up their sound outside of the norm! Today, CVLT Nation has put together an ultra epic video essay of some our favorite live footage of GODFLESH. So after the jump, see what’s cooking in the locust furnace…
