On 5/19/12 a night of serious Heavy took place at local hot-spot Eli’s in Ghosttown. Two of San Jose’s finest and Heaviest bands were playing and the folks behind Ash Borer and Servile Sect had a new project to unveil to the bay area this evening.
Up first from San Jose was, Bruxers, they played a killer set and had the best sound of the night. Absolutely Crushing! Check out a few songs from this evening below!
Next up was Mortuous, which is a Super Band featuring Al(Vocalist for Bruxers) on Vocals, Colin(Bass from Bruxers) on Guitar, Nick(Sunshine/Wookie Fanatic) on Bass, Mike Beam(Exhumed) on lead guitar and Col Jones(Cretin/Exhumed) on drums. This Band Fucking Rules! Here’s a few songs from their set, the second one is cut off at the end due to mosh-fuck yes!
The final band was Cerebrate, from Humboldt County. Cerebrate is the new project from the people behind Ash Borer. They play a hybrid of metallic hardcore/crust mixed with hints of death and thrash.
