Black Mass Rising…Shazzula Nebula

Shazzula Nebula is the perfect example of why, even when I try really hard to hate social media sites like Facebook, I just can’t fully go there. Because you can make friends with someone in Belgium, a country you have never been to. Because you can discover really rad shit like Shazzula’s photo studies for Black Mass Rising, the experimental film she is making. As far as I can tell from the epic photography, Black Mass Rising will be an epic film. Her still images are dark and far away, with shadows and spirits creeping in on her subjects. Her layering of images creates endless stories in each photo, and I can only imagine how she is going to translate these stories into a film. We are going to keep tabs on her progress, and hopefully be able to showcase her film on CVLT Nation when she is finished.
