Bell Witch, Bruxers, and Larvae Show Review

On Saturday February 25th, 2012, I had the opportunity to play a matinee show with two great bands. One of those bands, Larvae, is a newer band from Oakland but have already been playing shows in the bay area for the last few months. Larvae plays Doom/Black Metal that effectively blends both genres, without containing too much of the other. Larvae had a really great set that started the night off well. download the 2011 demo directly from the band at their website.

Bell Witch, is a Seattle based Doom Metal band that crushes the very foundation on which you stand. Bell Witch creates Doom Metal that is both atmospheric and heavy. Their sound was immense and unrelenting; with a bass rig that almost seemed to be touching the ceiling. These guys were a great way to end an already awesome show. You can preview and purchase Bell Witch’s 2011 Demo at their Bandcamp page.

Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed meeting some new people at the show. Thanks again to Adrian and Dylan (Bell Witch), Matt Shapiro, Larvae, and everyone who attended.
