Dominic Fernow and Kris Lapke have no interest in stopping. The idea of simply relaxing one day and eating some pizza and playing some Max Payne 3 must be consistently the furthest thing from their minds. Dominic and sound engineer/Musician Kris Lapke have launched yet another side-project into the strata. The fusion could not be more perfect as Lapke’s latest venture Bronze Age as well as Fernow’s Vatican Shadow are essentially kindred spirits, utilizing pulverizing drum beats and sprawling, emotional synth lines. However Christian Cosmos seems to be a desire to return to form, as it inches back towards Alberich and Prurient. Christian Cosmos is the cold, judgmental stare that leers at you with the latin knowledge of thousands of years of dead languages, dead prophets, dead traditions, and dead ideals. It’s thinner and steelier than the rapier of idolatry extended by the heretic. Christian Cosmos is the bare, lacerated, staggering creature bearing the cross and being mocked, and it falls on your door. Answer the call after the fall
As Dom puts it on the Hospital Productions site Christian Cosmos is:
among the trinity of electronic projects of dominick fernow’s studies in anxiety and fear from the mythic natures of rainforest spiritual enslavement, the info wars of vatican shadow and the creator’s observation of christian cosmos.
lightning drums pound the rhythms for lost souls as the fall from paradise abounds and the trumpets of the heavens command the threshold. imagine a voiceless dead can dance sent through a black hole hence the ancient notes and structures are scrambled and returned with information loss while the cathedral floor is flushed with his sacraments. but there is a beauty in submission to belief. some have said the book is not about self improvement but faith.
Christian Cosmos will quickly establish itself as an outlet for the darker tastes. As per keep an eye out, because virtually no news is being released on this outfit until a 4xCS boxset comes out wrapped in a shroud limited to 50 copies and then disappears only to wind up on everyone’s want list on Discogs. Hospital Productions has a few of the vinyls left, but all of the tapes are gone. Oh and there have been 3 releases in the past six months from this outfit. So bear that in mind as well.
