JUNIOR BRUCE Vs. SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP

JUNIOR BRUCE VS SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP
Scott Angelacos interviews Brian Thomas

Seven Sisters of Sleep? Why not 6 or 12? What does that name refer to?

After tossing a names few around, we ended up taking our name from a book about naturally occurring narcotics. The book focuses on seven in particular. We fully endorse drug experimentation so the name was a perfect fit for our music.

You guys have so many awesome videos. Do you do them yourselves? Where do you get the footage?

Our guitarist, Eddie, does the videos with some input from the rest of us. We are all film nerds so the footage is from personal collections. Although, we are going to have to start digging deeper for footage that is more obscure to stay off the YouTube radar.

Macho Man Randy Savage or Sgt. Slaughter?

Randy Poffo had the bravado and charisma to back up his gimmick not to mention he was a mechanic in the ring. Methodical in planning spots, building matches, and see sawing the crowd, Macho stands as one of the best baby faces of all time. Now, I do not want to undersell Bob Remus’s contributions to the industry. The man introduced the world to theme songs accompanying wrestlers’ entrances. Anybody familiar with Bob Slaughter’s AWA work will tell you, he worked very snug. A genuine badass of a man. His heel turn against Hogan and the USA produced more heat than a fucking kiln. It’s tough to call, but I go with Randy if only for mania 3 with steamboat.

If you had to change the name of your band to a popular movie title from the eighties which movie would it be?

Snake Eater

What band are you most stoked to see at the A389 show?
