Ever since I heard Stalin & Lip Cream, I have been into underground Japanese music of all sorts. I have been to Japan many times, & I have mad respect for the people & their rad culture. When you are in this country, you do get a special feeling. One of coolest nights I ever had was spent at this killer basement hardcore show – I have never heard anything that loud in my life, it felt like my ears were bleeding! It was so epic seeing Japanese kids going apeshit to their local hardcore heroes. The room was full of kinetic energy & I was swept up into it. A couple of years ago, I watched the film Japanese Extreme Metal the Documentary, & I would like to share with you now. This flick goes deep into the Japanese underground; I found it very interesting & I’m sure you will too. No need to worry about the language barriers, subtitles are here to save the day. I’m sure some of your favorite Japanese bands are in this film, but you’ll have to watch it to find out. So after the jump, check how metal is rising in the Land of the Rising Sun.

kind of amateurish and some unintelligible accents, bit over-all good for a documentary about a subject matter not enough coverage is typically given
