3 The Street Art Way Feat:
GIVE UP. Cursed Death. Eye sore

Having lived in Texas as a youngster, I can honestly say that it’s a strange place, both good & bad! This state is known for producing individuals that dance to their own beat. In the 80’s, some of the most weird and original bands to come out of the hardcore scene came from the Lone Star State. Right now, the land of the longhorn has some of the most interesting street artists influencing the world with their creativity. The three artists I’m speaking of today have deep roots in the punk and metal community – GIVE UP, Jason Barnett aka Cursed Death and Eye sore all have different styles, but they all share the thirst for creativity and see their urban environment as a living gallery. All three of these artists should be saluted for having the courage to step outside of the law and share their works with the world.

GIVE UP is known throughout the world as a talented street artist and a stellar graphic artist who has designed some rad record covers. His work can be seen on walls, billboards, bus stops and other objects throughout Texas. Check out one of CVLT Nation’s very first interviews that happened to be with GIVE UP (this will give you insight into why he does what he does). Peep his new works below, plus check out his web-store full of prints and more!

Jason Barnett aka Cursed Death‘s mind’s eye is locked into a zone that only he holds the key for! His work has been a favorite of ours for a long time, but what I really want to see up close are his murals. Check out some of his wall art below, but also recognize that he probably illustrated some of your favorite covers from bands like Noothgrush or CLERIC.

Eye sore‘s pieces are filled with pain and fun at the same time. I wish I lived in the same city as this being, seeing his work on the daily would put my mind at peace. Peep Eye sore’s scrawls on wall below!
