From afar, John Jansen is a person I have respect for, especially his outlook on the arts, be it music or litature. He runs an extraordinary publishing house called Zeitgeists Publishing from the Netherlands. John has a keen eye for detail, and it’s never about quanity with him, it’s always about the highest degree of quality. Zeitgeists Publishing has released out of this world cassettes by Sutekh Hexen and Ruin Lust, where the packaging is just as important as the music itself. Zeitgeists Publishing has just released a new zine of poems by Tom Ogden, entitled Wet Fingers for the Flame, plus a new cassette, Untitled-Untitled-C20, both of which are presented with an austere touch of magic. From my point of view, John Jansen is punk as fuck, because he doesn’t talk about being DIY, everything he creates is a personification of those 3 letters. To purchase any of these cassettes and the zine, just go HERE. After the jump, take a closer look at some of Zeitgeists Publishing objects d’art.
