WEEKEND NACHOS-WORTHLESS REVIEW

One of the most feared thing for any artist is to have their album leaked out before it’s release date. To think about all the hours of hard work and money spent recording your album and making sure it’s just right before it releases…. Then there’s bands that don’t care. Weekend Nachos is one of those bands. On Monday the guys in Weekend Nachos leaked their new full length album titled “WORTHLESS” onto the internet knowing it  would be passed around online wanting to give their fans the chance to hear it before it released so they could sing along with the band on their upcoming tour with The Afternoon Gentlemen. This album is in my top for album of the year. It’s rare for me to find a band that I can honestly say gets better with every release and Weekend Nachos is one of those bands. If you follow Weekend Nachos on Facebook you probably saw  the teaser videos posted from the recording studio, if that didn’t get you hyped for this release SLAP YOURSELF! Weekend Nachos will be coming to Texas & it will be their first Dallas show ever so be there or bust! Review, tour dates, and more after the jump……

What to say about this album other than it’s flawless. WORTHLESS has the I don’t care attitude of PUNISH AND DESTROY with the hate and misery of UNFORGIVABLE. Vocally not the same Nachos sound we all known and love but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing! The vocals are harder and more pissed and the bass is super grimey. WORTHLESS kicks off with the track HOMETOWN HERO which is a perfect example of the fusion between PUNISH AND DESTROY and UNFORGIVABLE.  There’s not much I can say about this album other than how perfect it is. 13 tracks in total ranging from 30 seconds to 4 minutes. If you dig punk, hardcore, power violence, wicked guitar riffs, and the dark side pick this album up available for pre-order now over at the Relapse Records site. What do you think of WORTHLESS? Let me know!  If you dig what you hear buy their previous releases here, then pick up a few shirts here. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to mosh in my living room to THE FINE ART OF BULLSHIT.
