One of my favorite singers, Zola Jesus, just released her new album Conatus via
Sacred Bones Records. CVLT Nation will be writing a full review in the near future about this very special album, but today it’s time to talk about her killer new video for her song “Vessel,” directed by Jacqueline Castel. It’s five minutes and seventeen seconds of dark, emotive eye candy, where Zola inhabits an eerie desert planet, in a state of metamorphosis. From the the first moment I watched this video, I could not take eyes off of it, the cinematography is from another realm, and really draws you into the intensity of the song. The best way to describe this video is for you to visually experience “Vessel” for yourself!
