The arts run in Stavros Giannopoulos’ blood. He is a member of Chicago’s epic The Atlas Moth, and is also a talented illustrator who has done work for the likes of Corrosion of Conformity, Nachmystium, Yob, Zoroaster, Discontent, Kowloon Walled City and many others. His style is influenced by comic books and weed, but to give it such a simple explanation doesn’t do it justice. His lines are strong, his colors are vivid and stark, yet there is a fluidity in his work that belies it’s simplicity – rays of light pierce the page and seas roll across it. His work is built for silkscreening, and I would be ecstatic to own any of the prints in the gallery after the jump. Stavros is one of those guys who approaches art, whether visual or sonic, with an innate talent and inspiration. Check out his work below…
