It’s time to celebrate one of the raddest bands to come out of my hometown of Venice, California: my homies EXCEL. On Sept.30th, Southern Lord will be re-releasing their classic album Split Image (totally remastered with some special details). Now check out how this band had the power to set a room on fire with their intense performances back in the day! CVLT Nation has put together this HUGE video essay featuring live footage plus their videos. For me it’s so awesome seeing people I grew up with and love having so much fun on stage! Don’t get it twisted, EXCEL are back together again and performing. So if they make to your city, you better come out and represent!
