THE HEIGHT OF GOTH: 1984: A Night at the Xclusiv Nightclub is a glimpse into a scene that was not documented the way it should have been. What I love about this film is that it is about the everyday people that loved Goth in the early 80’s and say it as a way to express themselves. The dances and clothes you are about to witness are a straight blast into the past. Release the Bats and get your Goth/Batcave vibe on with no apologies!

    How could 1984 possibly be the height of Goth when it wasn’t even called that yet? It was still punk/alternative. Goth has definitely reached much bigger “heights” since then, and I’m pretty sure it’s not going away any time soon.

    I’ve seen this club they’re in! I’m from West Yorkshire and my dad has lived basically all his life in Batley, which is quite a small town. He knew the owners of the club. He showed me this video months ago because of my undying fascination with the 80s and 80s goths/new wave/romantics etc.
