If you are a fan of radical Doomed Death Metal, then you should be familiar with Seattle’s ANHEDONIST. Their 2010 demo The Drear is just the tip of the mountain of how killer this band is. The word on the street is that they really brought roofs down on their most recent US tour. When Anhedonist performed at the Corpse Fortress in Silver Spring, MD (RIP), their epic set was captured by Charred Resistors. When you hear this set, you can smell the weed smoke and feel the walls shaking from the low end, plus you will be put into a trance by this band’s dirge! I live in Seattle and finally saw these guys a few weeks ago. Their live show was absolutely crushing; as good as their demo is, it doesn’t do justice to their art of performance.
