In the universe of heavy music, there are so many dimensions, & so many ways to be creative beyond what we consider normal. The Body, from Providence, RI, are wizards at pushing boundaries & shaping mammoth sounds into something that we have never heard before. With their latest release, All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood, they deconstructed what we all know as doom & built a sonic temple that was all of their own. I have seen them live, & I must say that the low end I heard that day could shift the plates in lower earth. When I heard they would be touring the East Coast performing All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood with the Assembly of Light Choir, I thought to myself, this is one event that I would love to witness. The songs on the album that featured the choir really moved me, so I knew their performance together would be off the chain. Well I’m over the fucking moon right now because Charred Resistors from D.C. recorded this special show, so now we all can enjoy it. The recording is extra freaking clear – in my opinion it sounds better than some band’s albums. So below, please follow the download link & zone out to the other world of The Body & Assembly of Light Choir.
