The Blood Seed Ritual…WOLVSERPENT Review + More

What happens when silence is heavier than sound? When the slow moving storm clouds open up over your head? When dark mammoth vibrations engulf your spirit? As I listen to Wolvserpent‘s Blood Seed, these are questions that race through my mind. These two humans create majestic music that has no limits or boundaries. Their album Blood Seed is two rad long compositions. The first is “Wolv,” which clocks in at 22 minutes of doom bliss, & the second one is “Serpent,” clocking in at 18 minutes of doom magic. Wolvserpent starts off with gnarly creepy drones that slowly build into cathedrals filled with sonic treasure. The creative spirit of this band feeds my imagination with every second that I listen to them. Their compositions invoke enchanted forests, where the trees speak to the clouds & wind speaks to creatures; where the answers to our existence is truly all around us. Wolvserpent are masters of their crafts. I know this to be true because allowing this record into your heart is the kind of darkness that heals. The right seed is Blood Seed, out now on vinyl via 20 Buck Spin, and as a 2 CD set via Crucial Blast on May 31st. Check out the Wolvserpent rituals after the jump – tours news, photos & gnarly videos!
