The Atlas Moth New Video…
Your Calm Waters Now Showing

The Atlas Moth, who recently was featured on Scion A/V Profound Lore Label Showcase, has released a new video of the song Your Calm Waters from the album An Ache For The Distance which was one of the finest releases last year. The Chicago alchemists certainly play a kind of psychedelic sludge infused with post black metal and doom; it’s tough to describe their music as they bring almost everything forward starting from psychedelic rock, blue jams to free jazz. For a listener, it’s a lot to take in but the finished product is done in such a way that one can truly embrace the beauty behind it. The recently released video Your Calm Waters directed by Ryan Oliver comprehends the path which is focusing on producing majestic piece of art through music. In addition, The Atlas Moth will be playing in Chicago at Reckless Records on April 21st and also will disclose a limited edition cassette release of two EPs, Pray For Tides and One Amongst The Weed Fields. You can watch the new video below and also check out Stavros Giannopoulos’ statement along with some live videos right after the jump!

Stavros Giannopoulos:
“I grew up in record stores, whether it was spending weekends scouring bins of vinyl when I was a kid or working in them throughout my teens, I think they’re a really special way to shop for music that isn’t going to be understood in 10, 20 years without things like RSD. We were asked by my favorite store in Chicago and we jumped at the opportunity. To make it a little more special, we are releasing the our first and out of print EP Pray for Tides on cassette. On the B side will be the first physical release of our cover EP One Amongst The Weed Fields.”
