In retrospect, I’m so happy that my mom kicked me out of the house at 14 for not giving up on hardcore punk! It forced me to move to San Francisco, which was a huge turning point in my life. One by product of me living in the Castro in 83/84 was that I got to see the San Francisco skate scene for myself. I did not know it then, but I was witnessing the birth of what the world knows now as Street Skating. Check out the gnarly skate video SICK BOYS which captures the late 80’s Bay Area skate scene like no other! These are only some of the rad dudes you will see ripping shit: Tommy Guerreo, Julien Stranger, Mike Archimedes, Mickey Reyes and Natas…Skate or DIE MOTHERFUCKERS!!!
