Spit at me and wreak havoc on my Flesh…
GNAW THEIR TONGUES
Review

When I listen to this certain record it’s an audio version of the creepiest movie that I have ever seen, or in the words of the Ghetto Boys, I feel like my mind is playing tricks on me. Well actually it’s just Gnaw Their Tongues‘ first album Spit at me and wreak havoc on my flesh blasting through my speakers, causing damage to my mental health. This super sick slice of sonic terror is being reissued by Ominous Silence & will infest stores on July 10th. When I hear the music on this album, I feel like it gives me insight into the thoughts of a serial killer, because everything about Spit at me and wreak havoc on my flesh is truly disturbing. Sonically, this album is far beyond heavy & bleak – imagine if your whole existence took place in a deserted steel factory, but the machines still worked, operated by ghosts. Gnaw Their Tongues has created a record that transforms itself from one ugly expression to the next, before it replaces your dreams with night terrors. The vocals on this album are buried deep in a pool of toxic mud that begins to suffocate you, & pulsating low end tones punish your bones. I know this all sounds bad, but the weird thing about this album is that abducts your soul & makes you see the world through the eyes of Gnaw Their Tongues. The samples that find their way to this record add this layer of psychosis that makes you feel the rats nibbling away at your flesh. One thing I find very interesting about this music is that it has a classical vibe about it, & from time time little beams of light shine through the darkness. To me, Gnaw Their Tongues has twisted doom & black metal into his likeness of a soundtrack to the worlds demise. Maybe I’m the cookoo one, because Spit at me and wreak havoc on my flesh actually chills me out & makes me feel like tomorrow will be a good day. Put it like this – you have not heard heavy until
Spit at me and wreak havoc on my flesh is blasting out of your speakers!
