Theories Interviews Sorrower

When did Sorrower become a band?

We became a band when all our old bands broke up.

When did Sorrower finally stop being a band?

Shortly after we started.

Do you like Metallica?

Of course, James Hetfield is probably my biggest vocal influence. If you listen closely, you can hear to “oohah” that I add on to the end of every line of lyrics.

Why would anyone in their right mind live in a city, like Phoenix, that’s obviously built in an area of the world where humans (weather and land wise) should not live?

Who said anything about being in our right minds? I personally like living dangerously. There are so many things here that could kill you in an instant, rattlesnakes, scorpions, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, etc.

Is Alice Cooper’s theme bar/restaurant Sorrower’s favorite place to hang out?

No, we’re way too broke for that, but we did take the guys from General Surgery there once, just to show them what America is all about.

Do any members of Sorrower work at Alice Cooper’s theme bar/restaurant?

No, I applied there once but I was deemed too much of a dirtbag to get the job.

Would you say that Alice Cooper is the biggest influence on Sorrower’s music?

Most definitely, you can tell by our highly theatrical stage show. All the drunken fuck ups and shit talking, it’s all part of the show!

Is anyone in Sorrower related to Alice Cooper?

No, but he sat in front of me at a Coyotes game once. Dave Mustaine, too. Not at the same time, though.

Can you introduce me to Alice Cooper?

Yes.

I plan on naming my first born child Alice Cooper, what are your thoughts on that?

I hope that your child is a great success and one day has his/her own theme bar/restaurant.

Alice Cooper?

Yes.

What are Sorrower’s future plans? Recording, touring, partying hard?

We begin our next recorded abomination in November. Nobody wants to put it out, so we’ll probably just have it for ourselves. We’ll tour again when we can afford a new van, so never. We’re always partying hard, that’s why we can’t afford a new van.

Favorite tour story… go.

We used to make our merch guy do all the Man Vs. Food challenges, but he’s a vegan now which makes him useless. Also, we once played in Joplin, MO for like 5 people and the opening act was a guy in a tye-died shirt playing a stratocaster by himself. Good times.

I love you guys, do you love me?

Of course we do, who else would ask us such insightful questions?
