When this band got together I was very curious to see how it would come out. We all came from the same sort of background musically…kind of. Meaning we all have punk, hardcore and metal as the common thread but that wasn’t the only thing you’d find in our record collections. Somewhere close to that Acme record would also be an At the Gates record. Or Suede right next to Suicide. De La Soul next to Deadguy. You get the idea. But this is basically how Narrows sounds to me personally. We skip through genres from our collective back catalog to get to where we’re at now. Whether an idea is new or borrowed it certainly sounds nothing like its original concept when it’s eventually finished.
So when CVLT asked us to throw this guy together I was equally curious to see what the other boys would throw in. After spending endless hours in a shitty van I thought I had them pegged. A couple surprises but mostly I was on. But if you make it through most of this you’ll have a better understanding of who we are and where we coming from.
