The Skulls & Bones Alphabet:
A Look At William Cowper’s
Myotomia Reformata

Paul Dijstelberge of the Special Collections Amsterdam has created an unreal anatomical alphabet from the initial caps drawn throughout William Cowper’s 1724 book Myotomia Reformata: or an Anatomical Treatise on the Muscles of the Human Body. The illustrations have this gothic sense about them that makes were it’s hard to look away! I could imagine many of these of punk flyers from the 80’s.
