This photo was taken when I lived in the Hull/Ottawa region of Ontario. Quite often I would stay up all night and go out exploring just as the sun was rising. I enjoyed the silence in the early morning, it seemed to cease the monotony that defined the city during during waking hours. This particular day I had made my way down to the cemetery to read a book while the the sun came up. I noticed the headstone in front of me was of a particular beauty, and as the sun rose, its rays framed the statue.
The church in this photo always caught my eye from the outside and finally one day while I was walking past, the doors were open for anyone to go in. The entire church was empty besides the lone organ player that was playing some haunting music to amplify the solitude inside the church. I adore stained glass work and I noticed the stained glass window at the back of the church, the sun shone through it with particular grace.

Crows have always fascinated me. They are intelligent creatures, with a particular esoteric semblance connected to them, and a likeness to human behavior. This winter day I was exploring Stanley Park for the first time since moving to Vancouver. There are quite a few crows in the area and I was fortunate enough to catch a shot of this one in a barren winter tree.
FOUR
This shot is a still-life I set up. I have always had a fascination with the somniferum plant and its attributes, as well as osteology. This jawbone was given to me by a dear friend, an older man I met in Vancouver whom needed help cleaning out his vehicle. When I was cleaning it out, I found this jaw bone and he said to keep it. I wanted to incorporate the two together in a photo that emitted a shadowy feel.
FIVE
I spotted this Luna moth on the pole outside the house I was staying at in Michigan right before partaking in the consumption of Ayahuasca with my then partner. It turned out to be one of the most intense things that I have experienced. At the time of seeing this moth I remember it giving me a sense of calm and grounding, seeing the wisdom it reflected through its obviously aged wings. I hadn’t been too into taking photos until that year, and this is one of the first I had taken.

I was feeling a bit displaced this day and decided to just go wandering in the snow. It had gotten extremely foggy out while I was wandering, and I went to the cemetery by my house. I loved the way the trees were aligned with one another and how the fog crept between them. That day I saw some of the most beautiful landscapes altered by the fog.
SEVEN
This is another shot from the fog that day. I had gotten lost down by the water in the woods, and loved how the trees were the only thing visible, for miles the fog crept out into the river. It seemed to reflect how I was feeling that day, and I feel fortunate to have gotten some photos.

Hello, hello! I just came across the art of A.E. Csaky tonight and was hoping to find a website/portfolio/gallery/blog/something where she stored her work in an official capacity, etc. All I can find is uncredited tumblr/pinterest/etc images, and if Csaky is attributed it leads back to broken links and a tumblr page that no longer exists. The FB link you have at the beginning of the post is more or less broken as well (not your fault, I know, there is nothing you can do to control if someone deletes a page you link to). ANYWAY! I was hoping someone – anyone – had more information on this lovely photographer? cvltnation is really the only place I could find anything at all, so at least it is a start. Thank you!

I was friends with her on Facebook, and she just decided to delete her pages. I don’t know how to contact her, as she left no notice. I’ve been hoping something will turn up, myself.

She’s one of the best photographers around, sorely un-noticed. Wonderful to read the stories behind even this small fragment of her work.
