One of my favorite American black metal bands, Ash Borer, went on a gnarly tour up and down the East Coast this summer. For those that were lucky enough to see them, I know it was all that and I know they didn’t disappoint. For those humans that got to catch them at the Corpse Fortress in DC, man, that show was electrified darkness. Today CVLT Nation would like to bring you that show for your downloading pleasure. It was captured live by the Charred Resistors crew, and this is one of the sickest live recordings I’ve ever heard. Close live recording sounds like mush, but this recording is clear with intensity, it’s clear with emotion. I mean, I love everything that this band’s recorded, and this is almost up there with some of their studio recordings on how rad it is. It actually transports your brain, your body and your soul to the Corpse Fortress in DC – that shows it’s beyond awesome. It’s beyond rad, it’s Ash Borer live..good looking out Charred Resistors!

This post rules. I fucking love this band, you get completely lost when they conjure-up aural hell. I completely transcended in my mind from the moment i pressed to play to a year earlier when I got to host a garage show for the Fell Voices/Ash Borer tour kickoff. That was also deaf heavens second show and embers opened. Anyway, they fucked ruled that night and from listening to the tracks it totally triggered with me how great they were that night and I was loving every moment of it yet again. It’s like being a little kid, ice cream is always gonna taste fucking awesome, sometimes you just have to consume it more often. I definitely need to dose myself with more ash borer. In fact i was saying that last week, even busted out my tape! ha. They also have one of the coolest logos ever.
