Who would I be without being a part of the 80’s hardcore scene? Honestly, I don’t know, but I will say that those were the years that shaped me! I can’t tell you why, but the California scene had a strong connection to the Texas scene. I got to see so many kick ass bands from the Lone Star state. Seeing DRI’s first Cali show ever or watching the DICKS do their thing was pretty rad, and it all went down at the Cathay De Grande in San Francisco. Texas punks were a different breed compared to the other punks from around the country. Check out this HUGE gallery of Portraits of Houston, Texas Punks! Nuff respect due to all of photographers who documented our scene across the nation! Now take a journey into a world of family fun rage and awesome music!
